5 Things

I have looked at so many other blogs and Janelle's is probably my favorite place to land. She has one entry that I love and it is about things about her. I sat down and tried answering some of the questions that she asked. It is harder than it looks. I really had to sit and think on some of these questions. Some of them (the negative stuff) almost was too easy where the positive stuff was harder. I think it should be the other way around. I will have to work on that. So here is my first attempt on 5 Things about me...

5 Things I am good at:
1. I am good at cooking. I even can say that I am great at crockpot cooking.
2. Organizing. I love to organize. I love when I have the time to organize.
3. Coping crafts. I love to look at other people's projects and see if I can copy them. Most of the time I like to think I do a pretty good job.
4. Crewl Work. I have not done this in years, but some of my stuff was nice.
5. I can sing like a rock star when I am driving in my truck and no one can hear me!

5 Things not so good at:
1. My handwritting is not very good. I wish this was better.
2. I can not sew.
3. I can not memorize scriptures like I should. I have a hard time reading them.
4. I can not play the piano.
5. I can not loose weight. It keeps finding me.

5 Things I Want To Learn:
1. How to make really good jewelry.
2. MORE sign language.
3. Shoot an arrow straight and not hurt my arm.
4. More computer skills
5. Photography

5 Things I Want To Do:
1. Take line dancing/Swing with my sweetheart. (He hates to dance so I don't see this one happening..)
2. Have a home of my own that I can paint any color I want.
3. Go on a mission with my sweetheart.
4. Explore the world.
5. See all my kids marry in the temple.

5 Places I Want To Go:
1. Go on a cruise anywhere with my sweetheart.
2. Go to Disney World
3. Hike on warm beach coast with DaNae
4. All over the U.S.
5. This one I need to think about some more...

Our Tree

No, your eyes are not seeing thing wrong. The tree is hung from the ceiling and it is upside down. What seems like a life time ago...the harp music takes us back...We were living in Eagle Point, Oregon and we were beyond poor. On Christmas Eve, Jeff had been at Home Depot and found this tree with all the lights and decorations, marked down, marked down to $3.00 What a deal. I was doing day care and I was worried about my little ones taking it apart. So I had Jeff hang it from a opening to the kitchen. We ran lights from the tree all the way around the room. It was perfect. The next year we came up with the crazy idea to hang it upside down....from then on we trade off each year if it is upside down or right side up. One year Jeff even rigged it to a ceiling fan and it lit up and spun. Sad to say, our poor little tree is really falling apart. I am not sure it will last another year. This little tree reminds us of the love we received from strangers, or rather, special angels that took care of our family the year we got this tree.

Klaira's Choir

Klaira is in a choir at school and also is a part of a choir that meets at night during the week. You have to try out for the choirs and Klaira has done a great job with both of them. These pictures were taken at the Winter Performance. What a great group of girls! Very talented!

Coqui's Ball

Every girl dreams of going to a ball. Coqui's work was having a ball and she was able to go! She called me as soon as she found out that there was going to be a ball and asked if I would help her to get ready for it. Yes, i felt like the fairy mother...She looked adorable, even though she was so sick. The day after I asked her how it was..living through my kids again..She said it was like prom but with every one full of alcohol and no chaperons to kick kids out.

open house

My friend Laura opened her home for me for a Christmas open house. She also had a gal selling candles and another gal selling jewelry. It was a one stop Christmas shopping place. I worked so hard for a month to put stuff together. It took me an hour to get everything set up. It started with a bang! The first gals through the door bought up several things. It just kept going on from there for the next 4 1/2 hours. It was great. After all was done and I had cleaned up everything, I realized that I had not taken pictures!
These are pictures that I had tryed taking before but found that the lighting was not right and I was having a hard time not having a flash in the middle of everything.

This is one of my favorite signs that we started making last year. We had put it on a bigger board last year, and found the smaller to look just as great and it was just the right price. I made 5 of them and sold them all!

So this is what I woke up to this morning. It is hard to see, but this is my shower. It is about 2 feet deep of water and there is water all over the floor. My house flooded during the night.

This is the other bath room. Yep! It happened here too! It seems that if you have a small clog in your sewer line and you have a water softener and the water softener decides to cycle out during the night...Yep, water everywhere. This took my entire day to get fixed. Thankfully, Brother Bitton was willing to bring his carpet cleaning stuff to suck up my carpet in my bedroom. What a angel!

This is the coolest bruise ever! I did it myself. It is changing daily. The camera just can not get the true colors. In high school I did archery. I thought I was all that and a bag of chips. (Not that it was a single string, 20lb nothing to it.) So a few weeks ago, Jeff bought me a compound bow. LOVE IT. But it does not love me. My first arrow out...LOST IT! We have no idea where it went. I only shot about 6 maybe 7 arrows and not once hit the target. And now all I have is the really cool owie.
