Waiting!

Just have to love them!
In our nursery, each child has a cubby, a check-in picture, a helping hands picture and a shooting star picture. When the children check in, they find their picture (it has velcro on the back) and choose on a picture frame (other side of the velcro) that has flowers and insects, and choose where to put their picture. It can be on a flower, a bee or a lady bug. The lady bugs are very popular. On the out side of the door is a big sign that has stars with the children's faces(Shooting Stars). The parents take the star off the chart and shove it UNDER the door. Then we SHOOT the child and anything they may have in their cubby from the activites of the day, out the other door. This makes it easier so as not to have all family members in our classroom and we make sure that the child is going out with a parent. The kids wait by the door every week, excited to see who's shooting star will come under the door. They get so excited when a star comes under the door, shouting who's star it belongs to. They all love the stars and want to take them home. I have promised them that when they are ready to SHOOT into Sunbeams, they can take their stars with them. I think I have about 6 stars that will be shooting out in January.

This is so cute! Fun to see what it looks like on the other side of the door. :)
